Subject: Restoration of fixed charges Annual Plan (1) Plan-600(Rural), (2) Plan-1200(Urban) & (3) Plan 2160 ( Biennial) -reg.
Reference is invited to this office letter no 3-11/2009 R&C [CFA] dated 22.02.2012 (Circular No. 60/11-12) withdrawing the above mentioned annual/biennial fixed charges Rural and Urban plans, initially launched vide letter no. 3-18/2005-R&C dated 23.04-2008.
2. On the basis of the feedback received from some of the field units regarding impact of said order on customer base, the matter has been reviewed in this office and it has been decided by the Competent Authority to restore the above plans with following terms and conditions.
i. The letter no 3-11/2009-R&C {CFA] dated 22.02.2012 carrying approval regarding withdrawal of referred plans stands withdrawn. However new customers shall not be enrolled under the plans proposed to be restored.
ii. CGMs are authorized to withdraw the said plans i.e. PLAN 600, PLAN 1200 & PLAN 2160 initially launched vide letter no 3-18/2005-R&C dated 23.04.2008 ( Circular No. 6) based on the local market conditions. The existing customers of plans so withdrawn shall be free to choose the general or any alternative plan on offer at the time of such withdrawal and also to opt for annual payment option.
3. Other terms and conditions as mentioned in letter No. 3-18/2005-R&C dated 23.04-2008 ( Circular No. 6) shall remain unchanged.
4. The above new plans shall not be available to the prospective customers.
5. This circular is issued based on the approval of Competent Authority in file No. 25-34/2011 NWO-CFA/IN.
