Medical allowance without voucher withdrawn – BSNL Employees are benefited more now
Suppose , one employee Pay +DA as on 1-4-2011 is Rs 30000 per month. He has opted for without vouchers i.e. he is eligible of cash payment without production of any voucher for Rs 30000 X 12.5/30 = Rs 12500 for 2011-2012. The said amount of Rs 12500 is payable in four equal instalments. Now the order issued by BSNL says that the official opted for cash payment is automatically changed to with vouchers w.e.f.1-10-2011. As such the total entitlement for an employee is increased by 50 % .
The calculation is as follows:-
For the first two quarters i.e. June 2011 and September 2011 Rs 3125/ ( 12500/4) and Rs 3125/ totalling Rs 6250 . From 1.10.2011 his new eligibility ( of course he has to produce vouchers) is 30000 X 25/30 X 6months/12months = Rs 12500. As such , his total entitlement is Rs 3250+3250+12500 = Rs 18750 i.e. thereby his entitlement is increased by Rs 6250. Thus BSNL encourages staff to utilize the medical facility for the purpose for which it was introduced instead of getting the cash payment and spending to other purposes.
Now Medical allowance with vouchers only . Next will be HRA with Rent receipt only ...perks etc..etc.
